The Coal Miner’s Cafe has been an institution in Inverness since 2003, and a restaurant under different names for many decades before that. Situated on Central Avenue in the heart of town, it has a capacity of 118 seats, with a fully equipped kitchen, liquor licences, and is wheelchair accessible. As other restaurants have come and gone over the years, the Coal Miners has been open and busy in all seasons. Beautifully renovated and decorated, it has a 14+ foot ceiling over the central area and a handsome well-stocked bar. The furniture is heavy wood, solid and in good condition. Separate from the main room is another dining room added in 2003. In total there is a large space available, and sometimes the restaurant has live music nights.
